Belt Idler - An adjustable springloaded
belt idler keeps the belts at
proper tension, reducing belt wear
and slippage. Belts - Banded Csection
belts provide optimum
strength and power transfer with
minimal slippage.
External Grease Bank - Allows bearings to be
greased without having to remove any shields
Gear Box - Balzer's 200 hp gearbox will
not be beat for strength. End shafts are
hardened and splined for less wear and
maintenance. The premier Balzer
gearbox has splined input and output
shafts combined with high horsepower,
making the gearbox the standard by
which all others should be measured.
Sheaves - Formidible, tapered lock hubs secure sheaves with positive lock reducing the risk of sheaves coming loose. Sheaves are static balanced to be precisely true, eliminating high speed wobble and vibration. Belt life is extended by the large diameter of the sheaves increasing belt contact.
Re-Cutter Bar - is standard on all Balzer Shredders. Vacuum action pulls stalks up into machine to be cut again by bar for maximum shredding efficiency.
Rear Wheels - Four rear wheel assemblies are
featured on mounted and pull-type shredders and are adjustable top fit all row spacings.
Castor Wheels- Durable castor wheels on the semi mounted units make end turns and difficult field conditions as easy task. Two castor wheels are standard. Castor wheel assemblies are adjustable to any row spacing. Additional assemblies are optional.
Steel Deflector Shields - Free-swaying shields
prevent rocks and brush from damaging
equipment while shredding. The shields also help in dust control.
Knives - cupped or double edged reversible (side knives) - take your choice for your Balzer Shredder. All knives are heat treated for durability and extra strength. knives swing freely up and down on the Balzer rigid, welded mounts which eliminate D-ring spreading or breaking. If a knife breaks, Balzer will replace it FREE. Spiral knife mounting eliminates shaft vibration and pulsing.
Skid Plate - Balzer skid plates help prevent
machine from bottoming
